This SWG is a kind of gasket consisting of metal / steel strips and coated with soft non-metallic filler. SWG functions as a spring between the flange which is suitable for sealing where changes in temperature and pressure often occur, such as pipes, pumps, valves, etc. This SWG is available in all standard flange sizes such as: ANSI, JIS, PN, etc.
This SWG also has an outer ring consisting of a metal guide ring and sealing elements that provide additional radial strength to prevent the explosion gasket and stop compression. This outering is made of carbon steel (coated in paint to prevent corrosion) but can be made from SS304, SS316, etc. for higher temperatures and more severe media applications.
SWG also has an innering in the form of an inner ring. Innering functions as a compression stopper and fills between the flange bore and the inner diameter. Designed to prevent the accumulation of solids and minimize face flange erosion.
