This SWG is a kind of gasket consisting of a metal/steel strip and soft coated non-metallic filler. The SWG acts as a spring between the flanges which is suitable for sealing places where temperature and pressure changes frequently occur, such as pipes, pumps, valves, etc. This SWG is available in all standard flange sizes such as: ANSI, JIS, PN, etc. The SWG also has an outer ring consisting of a metal guide ring and sealing element which provides additional radial strength to prevent the gasket from exploding and stopping compression.
